As we pass under RI 7, we’re advised to keep right for US 6 west/10 south, which functions as another north-south freeway around Providence. Keep left for I-95 north, which adopts “New York” as its control city, skipping anything in Connecticut.
Location: I-95 and Huntington Expy, Providence
Exit right ahead for US 6 west and RI 10 south. US 6 is the fastest route to Hartford, Conn. If you follow signs to “downtown” the ramp takes you to Francis Street, which is US 1. US 6 east joins I-95 south to I-195.
