After we cross under the ramp, we’ll enter downtown Providence. Keep right onto Point Street to stay on U.S. 1A north.

After the turn, we’ll cross the Providence River.

A couple blocks later, we’ll approach US 44, though that’s not signed. Turn right for US 1A (signed here as RI 1A) north and US 44 east to I-195. Stay straight for a block and turn left for US 44 west.
