As we get off I-195, we’re immediately advised as to how to get back onto it – by turning right onto Cobb St. Stay straight to stay on US 44 east.

US 44 breaks into an odd one way couplet a few blocks later. This sign isn’t angled quite right but I’m pretty sure it’s advising northbound Broadway traffic to stay straight and turn left to enter the US 44 one way loop.

To get back to 44 west, keep left at Hall St.

As the one way loop comes to an end, keep right for 44 east and turn left for 44 west.

Shortly thereafter, we’ll approach RI 114 and US-1A. This is weird signage. Stay straight for US 44 east. Turn right for I-195 south, but I’m pretty sure a bolt came loose to make it look like you should stay straight. Turn right for RI 114 south/US 1A south (usually signed as RI 1A). Turn left for 114 north/US 1A north.
