A few blocks into 238, we’ll keep right onto America’s Cup Avenue, which heads into downtown Newport.

A few blocks later, we’ll approach RI 138A. Stay straight for 138A into downtown Newport. Turn right for 238 south, which spurs out to Goat Island. I’m not quite sure why the segment of 238 that we’re on isn’t just 138A, since that would make 138A connect to 138 on both ends, but it is what it is.
