SR 705 begins along an old segment of US 50. The route does not connect to anything else and is simply state maintenance for the mile or so of old 50 that is located in Douglas County.

SR 705 ends a mile later as we cross back into Carson City. The road west of here enters a private development and there are a bunch of no trespassing signs, making it impractical to keep following old 50.
