British Columbia Highway 17, Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to BC-1

 

Location: BC 17 and Lands End Rd, North Saanich

Location: BC 17 and McDonald Park Rd, North Saanich

A couple kilometers later we’re advised to stay straight into Victoria or turn left to connect to the Washington State Ferry Terminal to Anacortes and the San Juans.

Several kilometers later we’ll enter Victoria. Exit at McKenzie Avenue to access the Trans-Canada towards Nanaimo.

Follow Route 1 north to get to BC 14.

Exit to connect to Routes 1 and 14.

Stay on 17 south for downtown Victoria.

A few blocks later the limited access roadway will end. Turn right to follow Saanich Rd to BC 1.

Turn right to connect to BC 1 a few blocks later. 1 and 17 run more or less parallel with each other into downtown Victoria.

Turn right again for BC 1, according to this technically-correct but terrible and probably retrofitted BC 17 sign.

Location: Blanshard St and Fairfield Rd, Victoria

A few blocks later we’ll bend to the right to connect to BC 1.

Location: Belleville St and Government St, Victoria

BC 17 ends here at BC 1.
