We approach CR-54 again, the LaPorte cutoff. This time we’ll hit a stop sign and turn left to continue into Fort Collins

Turn left for US-287 South. After the turn, the speed limit will not go above 45 again and we will enter the Fort Collins area

Another reassurance shield as we enter urbanish Fort Collins. The road will still only be two lanes wide until the SH-1 junction

We come to a junction with SH-1. SH-1 is the original number for the main North-South highway across Colorado, replaced by US-87 and later I-25. Today, all that remains is a short hop from Fort Collins to Wellington.  There is no signage at the turn
