U.S. Route 30 Bypass, US-30 to I-5

Location: Bridge Ave and St. Helens Rd, Portland

Dirty reassurance shield as US-30 Bypass begins. At this point, the “bypass” designation is kind of a relic – this doesn’t really bypass anything, and mainline US-30 is the faster route through Portland.

Just as 30 Bypass begins, we’ll want to turn left to head over St. Johns Bridge.

As we come off the bridge, we’ll enter the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland. Keep right to continue east on 30 Bypass.

A couple blocks later, 30 Bypass makes an unsigned turn to the left, and then we need to keep right onto Lombard to head to downtown.
