Reassurance shield as we enter Wyoming. Wyoming wanted WYO 120 to receive US highway designation, something it never did. However, since tiis an even numbered highway, it gets an east-west designation, as Wyoming was trying to comply with route numbering standards (never mind that three digit US routes don’t necessarily have to comply with those, eg US 220), so since the route ends slightly further east from where it started, the route is called “East.” Between here and Cody, however, it will travel southwest.
