18 miles later we approach junction US-212, a US route that’s sort of an enigma in Wyoming, weaving in and out of the state at opposite corners, passing through very desolate territory in its path

US-212 does bear (!) the distinction of being the Beartooth Highway, almost indisputably the most scenic highway stretch in the United States

If you like Wyoming, do a u-turn. You can either turn left to wind your way through a valley to Montana or turn right to go over Beartooth Pass into Montana
