Reassurance shield at the beginning of WYO 296, a scenic connector route to the Beartooth. From a functional perspective, I guess it would be useful for getting folks from Powell/Cody to Cooke City MT, but otherwise it’s just a really scenic drive that connects to other scenic stuff

18 miles later we approach junction US-212, a US route that’s sort of an enigma in Wyoming, weaving in and out of the state at opposite corners, passing through very desolate territory in its path
