Reassurance shield as we cross into Wyoming. WYO 789 appears out of nowhere and will travel north-south clear to Colorado. At one time it was part of a Multi State Route 789 that went from Canada to Mexico, now it only exists in Wyoming. it still serves to give central Wyoming one consistently numbered north-south route. Weirdly, 257 miles is the distance to Casper via WYO 789 and US-20. Despite its north-south direction, US-310 is consistently signed as East-West in Wyoming.
