25 miles to junction Wyoming Highway 89, which is actually junction Idaho State Highway 61 TO Wyoming 89. This is sort of a confusing situation. Essentially The state of Wyoming got pissed off when US 89 got routed through Idaho and Utah on its present route to Salt Lake, and started signing its section of the highway from Afton to Evanston as Wyoming 89, billed as “The Fastest Route to Salt Lake.” (and thereby the fastest way from Yellowstone to Salt Lake). However, Wyoming 89 is a continuation of Idaho 61, a state highway that begins a few miles west of the border, which makes all this WYO 89 stuff sort of confusing

10 miles to junction Idaho State Highway 61, which is not currently signed as TO WYO 89 (it looks like the sign fell off though, so I’d assume it will be back)

Immediately before the Idaho state line, we get this junction WYO 89 3 miles sign. I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of it, but four years later I finally got one. Still not a good picture of it- I guess I’m doomed.
