As we enter Mora County, we’ll approach SR-161, which is one of the stranger routes in the system. It starts about 20 miles west of here, loops around to here and connects to the small town of Watrous just east of the freeway, forming a de facto business loop, and then bends back northwest. It’ll tie to SR-97 in Watrous
