U.S. Route 34, I-180 to I-80/I-180/US-77

 

Location: I-180 and 10th St, Lincoln

I-180 begins as we transition from downtown Lincoln to the university area. Keep right for 10th St and UNL. Keep left for I-180/US-34. I-180 concurs with US-34 for its entire length

As we cross the railroad tracks and the Platte River, we’ll approach Cornhusker Hwy, which is a block away from US-6 and is itself an old alignment of US-34

Exit for Cornhusker Hwy. Turn right off the exit and head a block east for US-6

I-80 is concurrent with US-77 here, so we’ll also be approaching US-77 on this non-freeway style junction sign

Follow I-80 east for 77 north and I-80 west for 77 south

Exit for I-80 east/US-77 north. Next right for I-80 west/US-77 south. I-180 will end after the I-80 west exit, but the road continues as US-34

Exit for I-80 west/US-77 south. Stay straight for 34 west towards the airport. The freeway ends, but the road continues as expressway for a couple more miles
