US-87 and 287 will split here in a second, with 87 carrying Pierce St and 287 carrying Taylor St. The routes will travel within a couple blocks of each other through downtown and merge back together on the south side. From west to east, four blocks in a row will carry US-287 South, US-87 South, US-87 North ,and US-287 North. 87 is marked as heading TO IH 27 and 287 TO IH 40, but it doesn’t really matter- you can follow either to get to either, there just may be a couple lane changes on the south side of downtown.
